[ 06/08/2007 ] Team POS-X Places 6th out of 400 Team in the Annual Ski to Sea Marathon

(Bellingham, WA, June 8, 2007) – POS-X Inc., manufacturer of a complete line of integration-ready point-of-sale hardware, took time Memorial Day weekend to compete in the Whatcom County Ski to Sea Marathon, earning 6th and 15th place finishes for its two teams that participated in the event.

The Whatcom County Ski to Sea Marathon occurs every Memorial Day weekend, entailing cross-county skiing, downhill skiing, running, biking, canoeing, mountain biking, and sea kayaking. Over 400 teams from across the world participated this year for a chance to take first place.

Since their first entry 3 years ago, the POS-X team has continually improved, taking 18th, 11th, and now 6th in consecutive years. POS-X Executive Director Karl Schoessler says of the event, β€œAt Ski to Sea, we applied the same determination for success as we do in our manufacturing and development of quality equipment.” Participation in Ski to Sea acts as both a team-building experience and as a method to further increase brand awareness, as many of the participating teams represent businesses around the world.
